Trimbach Pinot Blanc 2021 Alsace. Trimbach is one of the top producers of Alsace, which in my humble opinion is the home of the best white wines in the world. Think gorgeous Riesling, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc.

These wines rightly justify a premium, for they offer incredible quality, are made in smallish quantities and there is a huge worldwide demand.

Trimbach have been making wine in Alsace for almost 400 years and even though this 2017 Pinot Blanc is one of their entry level wines, it is quite an achievement. To be frank, it is a sensational glass of wine.

Pinot Blanc is regarded as a slightly lesser variety in Alsace, but in the hands of Trimbach, it offers incredible value and quality. I loved this wine when I tasted it, and it would be perfect for your next Asian or Thai take away.

It has a nutty, almond citrusy character, with a sherbet like intenseness. There is a fruitiness to the wine, but it is balanced with laser like acidity and it just rolls around your palate.

The first bottle will disappear before you have even finished the spring rolls, so make sure you have a second bottle handy.
