So what is a Rhone Ranger?
A term that was coined in the US for wines made by traditional Rhone grape varieties. In this case a blend of 70% Grenache blanc, 20% Clairette and 10% Viognier . To maintain natural acidity and freshness, the wine did not go through malolactic fermentation, but was kept on fine lees over the winter to build that lovely texture and mouthfeel. The result is a vibrant, perfumed wine showing floral accented fruit notes, lovely volume and texture and finishing with good length and fresh acidity. Drink now and over the next 3-5 years.
Why not grab a six pack of the Mont Redon Reserve Rouge to make a sensational mixed Dozen.
A true Rhone Ranger if ever there was one
