Product Description
Clarence House Reserve Pinot Noir 2023. I have been exploring Pinot Noir a bit of late. But it can be a very expensive exercise. Pinot's which retail for $50-$100 just seem to fizzle, rather than sizzle in my opinion. But the older I get the more I am willing to keep on going.
Which brings me to this wine, which blew me away when I tasted it last night, finishing the bottle, even though it was a school night
Made by Anna Pooley, who is the shining and rising light in Tasmania, with all the bells and whistles you would expect, but always with a respect towards the high quality fruit from the Coal River region.
This has the all important complexity I am looking for in a fine wine, with forest floor nuances adding to the fabulously plump palate. The old saying of an "iron fist in a velvet glove" comes to mind as this silky smooth wine glides down your throat.
Great stuff !!!
