Domaine de la Pigeade Ventoux  “Les Sables” Cotes Du Rhone  2020  Grenache / Carignan/ Syrah

The Wines from the Cote Du Rhone are my favourite. These Grenache based wines offer a level of quality and drinkability at a price that everyone can afford. Sure there are flag ship wines from regions like Chateauneuf du Pape that can set you back a few hundred dollars, but you don’t need to spend that much money to get wines that are fantastic  to drink every day. This wine at $25 is an absolute bargain. It did not surprise me to find that there was a good portion of Carignan in the final blend, which always adds a level of complexity and warmth that I love. A fresh bright and delicious wine with lovely red fruits and silky tannins. A wine that you can drink on any occasion
