Monmousseau “Cuvee JM” Sparkling AC. You really don’t need to spend $50-$60 to get a good bottle of French Sparkling wine.
Sure it won’t be Champagne, but sometimes you don’t want to, or you don’t need to, spend the money on a fancy yellow label!
Australian Sparkling wines are pretty good, but nothing quite gets a party started like a bottle of French Fizz
This is one of the best value Sparklings we have come across and with the silly season about to start, you will need to stock up. Perfect for your Melbourne Cup lunch, Xmas work function, or just being fabulous !!!!
A good friend once told me that his “Festive Season” started with the Melbourne Cup and ended on Anzac Day. He likes a drink and a party does my friend, so who am I to argue?
The Monmousseau Cuvee JM is made with the care and attention you would expect from a Vintage Champagne. It is aged on less for 3 years and opens with notes of freshly cut apples. A good line of minerality is evident, driven by slightly toasted, honey notes and hazelnuts.
This wine is from a family owned business based in the beautiful Loire Valley since 1886. Production and ageing is carried out in 15kms of transformed limestone quarries, left abandoned after yielding the stone used to build the many famous Chateaux of the area. The cellar maintains a constant temperature of 12°C, the perfect humidity for aging sparkling wines.
Enough said, I know what I am drinking over the Festive Season, this and a glass of Rose!!!!!
